Leszek Talko'n artikkeli Halmeniemestä

Leszek on kirjoittanut artikkelin kylästämme Puolan toiseksi suurimpaan päivälehteen ja sen nettiversioon;

http://serwisy.gazeta.pl/df/1,34467,3072151.html

Varmaankin saamme paperiversion lähiaikana - ja jotenkin tämä on saatava käännettyä suomeksi...

( Käännös englanniksi löytyy tästä ! )

Leszek'n email aiheesta;

And ladies and gentlemen...
The article is in the paper.
http://serwisy.gazeta.pl/df/1,34467,3072151.html
Of course I'll send you paper version.
For now, everybody is enchanted by the people of Halmeniemi. My
friends call me and ask about possibility of living in Halmeniemi.
There are about 30 comments under the text in the internet.
Everybody is shocked :) How is it possible that such wonderful
places exist. (the comments usually are sardonic, unpleasant, rude
sth like ("the author should rather work not in the paper" or
"f...ch you".)
But now, for the first time I have only wonderful opinions
"I wish I could live in Halmeniemi"
"Can Polish people live in Finland?"
"I m leaving to Halmeniemi tomorrow"
etc. :)

Koska jutussa mainitaan webbisivujemme osoite, suoriakin kommentteja on jo tullut;

Subject: Greetings from Poland to all of Halmeniemi

Hi,

I am not quite sure who I'm e-mailing because I don't speak Finnish but I've found your address on
the http://www.halmeniemi.info/yhteydet.html website. So, I'm sorry if I'm spamming your inbox,
and if you have little or nothing to do with Halmeniemi... But I've just read a long article in
a Polish newspaper about the village and its people, written by Leszek Talko. It?s a very nice article,
and you seem like very nice people, so I thought I'd say hi to all of you.

Other people who've read the article have posted some amusing comments on the newspaper's website.
Most are nostalgic notes from Polish people who are in love with Finland and miss it very much,
and some (and these are the funny ones) by typically grumpy Polish people who say that it's an absurd
idea to be reading first thing in the morning how nice and helpful people can be to each other in Finland,
because it only upsets us to see how bad and unhelpful we are to each other here.
We are very good at complaining in Poland, you see.

So, best wishes of a mild winter to all the people at Halmaniemi, and especially of a good cumin harvest
to Marita the cumin grower, who might well be you.

Dear Community of Halmeniemi,

I am not sure which e mail you're receiving today, or how many you will get
within next few days, but:

In todays biggest POlish weekly, there was an article abut your village,
written in way to give readers as much as possible of the atmosphere you
created in your place. It is really amazing to read about your daily life -
which for you is something usual - for me, and for my nation - it sounds
like a dream. I feel that it will be nice to help you - in anyway - to
promote your place and the philosophy of you life - so if you feel that any
help maybe needed - please let me know. If your website is not translated
yet into POlish - I will be happy to do it. Of course for free. :-)))

Best regards,

kris

Hello, my name is Bartosz ( sukunimi ). I live in Poland.

I just read an article about yours beautiful village and "talkoo", write by Leszek Talko.
I`m under impression of your life and nature around you.
It's really nice that people can organized themselves and do
something good for others. In Poland it is almost impossible,
poeples don't care about others, some times I think that
one poeple to other is like a wolf. I don't know
did you understand it, maybe in original - latin:
Homo homini lupus est. It's great to know that on this
strange and hostile world, somewhere exist place,
where poeple lives in peace and nature harmless.
Sorry for my bad english, and greetings from Poland
to Matti, Matti 2nd :), Leena, Marita, Mika, Juha and all of inhabitants.
I really like Finland. It's country where I could live.
I didn't find another e-mail, so if you could send it to these person
I will be thankful.

                         With greetings
                         Bartosz ( sukunimi )

hi,
I have just read Leszek Talko's article "Fin robi talkoo" about your
charming village. Your community is indeed extraordinary! I can easily
understand why Mr Talko was so fascinated by you. I have sent link to
Talko's article to my friends in Poland, Belgium and Germany. It's
pity that your website is only partly in English...

Warm greetings from foggy and rainy Flanders to you all!!
Have a great Christmas time,
Jan
